Multi-plate color viscosity etching
13 x 14 inches
Artist proof, produced at the CPC
In 1990, David Driesbach was CPC's very first visiting artist, and he taught those assembled how to make and pull multi-layered viscosity prints. He created this image from scratch right then and there. All the prints were different, and everyone got one. It was astounding, and we will always have beautiful memories of this legendary teacher and printmaker. He often shows up in his work, and you can see his likeness on the RH side of this image, with his green head and signature spectacles. David passed away in 2019 at the age of 97.
The CPC has a large collection of David's work, and occasionally makes works available for purchase.
